One-of-a Kind Unique Pottery dog with bone vase – Scottie ?

I bought this at an estate sale and don’t know much about it.  It looks to me like a scottie but I can’t be sure of the breed.  If anyone out there knows anything about who made it, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.  It measures 11.5″ tall.  Base measures 3.5″ wide by 2.75″ deep.  At the widest point (middle), the vase is about 5.5″ wide.  No damage but there appears to be age related wear.
